You can set it to "dynamic" inside levels where it kinda switches in and out of split screen but it messes up pretty frequently. It's a cool idea but it doesn't work as well as it should. My brother and I just switched to full time split screen because it was frustrating. I'm using a controller and x360ce and whenever I push a button on the controller it enables player 2 and his all of his controls as "no input" I mange to set its controls to keyboard and drop it out of the game. But as soon as I press a button on the controller, it enables player 2 again. I have yet to progress at all in game due to this annoyance. Man, I feel really dumb now I was doing what you said, I pressed Enter from the numpad keyboard, and selected the drop down option, but instead of pressing the confirmation button (numpad 2 in my case), I was pressing "Enter" again.
